Psychotherapist
Are you feeling disconnected from the people around you? Do you sense that some inherent part of you is less worthy than others? You are not alone; it is unfortunately not uncommon for people who carry trauma, especially identity-based trauma, to feel this way. When an integral part of who you are has been attacked, either in one significant way or every day in a series of more minor harms, it can leave you feeling as though you are not deserving of the things you need, much less those you want.
However, this does not have to last forever. You can reclaim your inherent sense of self-worth. You can rediscover the confidence to demand what you need and ask for what you want - all without guilt. Together, we can foster that confidence within you and use it to create the life you’re striving for.
I utilize somatic-centered therapies to help you along your journey to reconnect to that truest sense of self, the one that knows your inherent worth. In this work, we will explore how your past experiences and traumas keep you stuck. Then, strengthened by that increased awareness, we begin charting the course of change you’d like to follow.
My Core Beliefs
I believe that every body is fundamentally worthy and deserving of the ability to move through the world with ease and comfort.
I believe that we all have wants and desires that we deserve the ability to explore and pursue freely.
I believe in post-traumatic growth and the incredible human ability to become more aligned with our values through the process of healing.
